  1. The Spiced Base: Combine the 1 ¼ cups water, 1 ¼ cups Turbinado sugar, cinnamon, and cloves in a saucepan. Heat over medium until sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Steep: Remove from heat. Let the syrup cool to room temperature with the spices inside to fully develop the flavor profile.
  3. Combine: Once cool, remove the cinnamon and cloves. Stir in the 1 ¾ cups vodka, the almond extract, and the vanilla extract.
  4. Bottle: Pour into a clean 750ml glass bottle.
  5. The Marriage: Store in a cool, dark place for 24-48 hours before drinking. This allows the heat of the vodka to mellow into the sweetness of the sugar.
Note on Volume: While 1.25 cups of sugar and 1.25 cups of water technically make 2.5 cups, the sugar "dissolves" into the water's volume. This adjusted ratio, combined with the 1.75 cups of vodka, hits that 750ml mark perfectly.
